Here is the reasoning behind this.
About a year ago the Board started discussion about the need to re-brand the Alaska State Archery Association (ASAA). This is not a new concept, but it is a very much needed concept to visually show growth and to refresh many facets of Association. We have seen many companies over the years do this exact thing; such as Coke and Pepsi. Strange but true fact, Pepsi and Coke have both changed their logos 11 times since their beginnings. There is still an age old battle which is better, Pepsi or Coke, and people start down the trail of new Coke verses old Coke. However, we aren't talking about sugar water here. There's a feeling stirring that it is time for a refreshing change at ASAA. So we as a Board began that process. We started with the Tournament schedule (updating it several different ways) then moved on to the Constitution and Bylaws (an on going work in progress) and revamped our registration forms and scorecards. We proposed a new logo to be revisited very soon, and a let's call it an archery promotional campaign to get our social media presence headed in the right direction. We have also included a complete remodel and vastly improved, fully updated website project to round off our ever so important web presence.

After analyzing the data from visitors to our website over the last couple of years I realized very quickly that we needed to shift our thinking. With the popularity of smart phones these days I realized 90% of our traffic on the website comes from smartphones. So it is now a site that is optimized so that your web experience will now be just as good on a smart phone as it would be a desktop/laptop computer. The truth is we are a world of 'scrollers' and 'swipers'. Please take a moment to scroll through our new website that is designed to be a single page website, rather than a multiple page site. You will find that what we used to do in eight separate pages has all been consolidated to one page. It is also in a much more condensed format.
